Chinese lunar year : the rabbit
Traditional astronomic, religious and calendar notions are the basis of Chinese astrology. The Chinese calendar being sun-lunar, Chinese New Year’s Eve is the day of new moon (Beijing’s day) between January 21 and February 20.

2011 is the year of the Rabbit or of the Cat in the Chinese astrology. Asian communities will celebrate this new year’s eve on February 3rd.

The rabbit is careful but ambitious, impulsive but peaceable and very sensitive, therefore, is so receptive to moods and to persons around that the Rabbit feels instinctively to be well surrounded.
The Rabbit’s personality is rich and contrasted, the Rabbis is responsible, practical, argumentative but careful. The Rabbit unwaveringly walks towards her/his targets, whatever the obstacles. Tenacity and persistence are her/his main strengths in any area. Often silent, in deep thoughts, s/he looks peaceful, because introverted and self-possessed. Sentimentally s/he is idealistic to the extreme, looking for conciliation between love, security, passion included, despite its fragility to live it. The Rabbit has much tenderness to offer and is looking for the same, likes to stay at home, with her/his children; however, sometimes s/he dreams of a bohemian life, a wandering poet, looking for new sensations and lost paradise.
