The “Tiare Tahiti” also called “Tiare Mâòhi” has the scientific name, Gardenia taitensis. It is the emblematic flower of our archipelagos of Polynesia.
Its fragrance reminds us that we are in Fenua. It permeates us with all the cultural and social
aspects. Indeed, we find it in every little gesture of our daily life. It is also present in our pharmacopoeia, especially in the preparation of the famous “mono’i” which we spread our body since birth.
The flower is also the muse of many artists and writers, of which we present a poem written by Mr Turo a Raapoto who was a pillar and defender of culture and Reo Mâòhi (native language).
Fare Rata, the French Polynesia Post office lets you discover through this scent stamp, all the beauty and subtlety of the Polynesian culture.
